Hi. I'm researching the history of Lands End and have hit a wall when it comes to the origins of the name "China Beach." All I've found so far are third-hand references and rumors of a Chinese fishing village supposedly located there, but no one can provide any solid evidence of its existence. Can anyone point me towards primary resources that discuss China Beach's origins?
