I'm searching for information on a SF building that might have come from the 1894 Midwinter Fair that I spotted in an old photo. It was a one-story wood building of vaguely Moorish design with large letters on the side reading "MECCA."
It stood at the corner of Pt. Lobos & 48th Ave from about 1899 to 1919. I suspect it was another former 1894 Fair building that Adolph Sutro might have purchased along with the attractions lining Merrie Way.
Thanks!
