The alley appears in city directories from 1884 on, but can't find any reference to which of the several persons named Krausgrill it's named after. There's a "Mrs. Annie C. Krausgrill, widow" who runs a bakery at 1321 Stockton, 1893-1896, but your Elizabeth Krausgrill was, by then, Mrs. Elizabeth Ducotey who died 20 April 1899 and was buried from the house of her married daughter, Mrs. Edmund Heiser, at 1706 Stockton, just around the corner from Krausgrill (SF Call, 21 April).
