I found the same old wood stove this week-end at a swap meet. I paid $300 for it and felt I got a deal. I also got the wrenches that makes it all work. I plan on using it - canning, soup at parties, or even a bar. Needs some re-nickeling - but can't wait to get it all ready and working. I live in Healdsburg too.
:Today I just discovered up in hills around my Sonoma County home a old small wood cabin were I found and retrieved a antique wood burning kitchen stove. It reads Packard on the oven door but on the side there is a plate that reads..(Made expressly for M Friedman & Co. San Fransisco.) I also cannot find any information on either names. Please keep me posted if any one finds out any information.
