: To Whom It May Concern,

: I am doing research for a book about Leon Pierre Federmeyer.
:
: The articles I am researching are for a "wheelbarrow race" from San Francisco to New York City between R. Lyman Potter and Leon P. Federmeyer (my husband’s Grandfather).
: As Leon Federmeyer passed through each town, he would give lectures and interviews to reporters, about the experiences he had. I am hoping to construct a story about his adventure through those articles. I have the journal he kept to log validation postmarks and signatures as he passed each town, and according to the journal he left San Francisco Dec. 8, 1878, followed the Central Pacific Railroad line through California, Nevada and Utah and other railroad lines until he reached NYC on 7-23-1879.
: I am looking for any newspaper articles that may have been printed from interviews he gave.

: I would appreciate any help or ideas you could give me to aide me in my research (and acknowledgment will be given to you in the book).
: Thank you so much for your time,
: Jayne’ Federmeyer
