Found this old ledger with entries in quill pen detailing accounts for what appear to be a livery stable (perhaps also reflects winning purses from racing) for the San Francisco area 1873-1883. No idea of name of stable or owner. Many names listed with notations indicating position held and pay. Other names may be owners of boarded horses. Can you suggest a source for researching this? Do not live in the San Francisco area.
