You can research old San Francisco City Directories looking for Young's in the general section, or in the back of the book under Attorneys.

: I have an old ledger for an atty. named S.M. Young that covers the years 1884 to 1916. I think he may have been an atty. in San Francisco because theres an old printed SF County Superior court form in the ledger but there's also a brief newspaper clipping from 1884 that shows him as "pros. atty Caldwell County". Anyone have any idea who he was? His partner was named Dilley. Thanks
