Some references - all of which are secondary sources - say that Cermeno was aboard the Santa Anna when it was plundered by Cavendish in 1587. This seems to be the general opinion of most people, but, I can find no reference tracing this view. Are they saying that Nicholas Roderigo, as mentioned by the 16th century diarist Francis Pretty, is the same person as Cermeno? Does anyone have any information on this issue? Sincerely, Eric Hill
