I'm trying to find out when my grandfather lived in San Francisco in the 1920s. His name was Walter Adolf/Adolph James and after his mother's death was put in a Catholic orphanage by his father for several years, along with his brother Arthur Gilbert James. Any info? Even some details of Catholic orphanages in SF at the time would be much appreciated. Thanks
