McCarthy Estate Worth $300,000
In a petition filed by Edward W. McCarthy, Jr., for letters of administration for the estate of his father, the son alleges that Edward W. McCarthy, Sr., died intestate leaving a fortune of $301,960.
Mrs. McCarthy, the widow, joins in the petition with the son.
The deceased, a former Mayor of San Rafael, passed away on July 3 at his home here.
Some of the property listed includes 996 shares of the McCarthy Brothers Company, valued at $260 a share; 200 shares of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, preferred, valued at $90 a share; a $25,000 life insurance policy; San Francisco real estate valued at $70,500, and Alameda real estate worth $1,300.
Besides the widow, the heirs are the petitioner, Walter W., Loretta, Clarence C., Evelyn, Milton S. and Anita McCarthy, the children.
