Child Dies After Being Hurt In Car

Philip Stewart Ehrlich III, 2-year-old son of Sausalito City Councilman and Mrs. Philip S. Ehrlich, Jr. died yesterday, apparently from complications following a head injury which he suffered when he fell against the dashboard of the family car.

The immediate cause of death was apparently suffocation, although a coroner’s report is not expected to be complete until later in the week.

The family home is at 22 Curry avenue, Sausalito.

The boy’s father is an attorney with the Crown Zellerbach Corp. in San Francisco.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, 3-year-old Elizabeth. He was born in San Francisco.

Private funeral services were held yesterday at the Frank J. Keaton Mortuary in Sausalito. The family has requested any memorial contributions be made to the Stanford Law School.
