WILLIAM CHARLES LAWREY
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in San Rafael for William Charles Lawrey, a retired Teamster’s Warehouseman and Helper’s Union and longtime Marin resident. (sic)
Mr. Lawrey,71, died Friday at his home in Ignacio after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Chicago and came to California in 1950. He lived in Niles, Alameda County, before moving to San Rafael a year later.
He had lived in San Anselmo and Novato and settled in Ignacio in 1975.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Evelyn; tow sons, Richard C. Lawrey of Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, and Robert L. Lawrey of Tustin, Orange County; a daughter, Diane Helen Thomas of Las Cassas, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
