Body of Man Found on Mountain

On Monday morning a man named Antonio Srrari (sic) found the body of a man on Mt. Tamalpais, who had probably been dead for a year..

Serrari was hunting red berries in thick underbrush, about one hundred yards from an old trail, when he stumbled upon the grewsome (sic) find.

There were no marks of violence upon the remains, and fragments of a note found beneath the body told a story of suicide.

The few and insignificant personal effects on the corpse gave no clue to the identity of the dead man.

It is believed that the body is that of Herman Loose, an Oakland bar tender, who disappeared last January, and who had threatened to take his own life. The description of the missing man tallies with such points of identification as can be obtained from the fragmentary remains on Mt. Tamalpais.

Dr. F. E. Sawyer was notified, and had the body brought to the morgue in San Rafael. No inquest has yet been held, Coroner Sawyer being busy making investigations in Oakland and San Francisco.
