DAVID W. FERREN
Private family services have been held for David W. Ferren, an electronics engineer of Novato. Ferren, 33, died Saturday at a local hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Minnesota, he lived most of his life in California and moved with his family to Novato about 20 years ago.
He graduated from Novato High School in 1963 and attended the College of Marin. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn Morton State College in Pennsylvania and a master’s at Arizona State University.
He served as a captain in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He had worked as an electronics engineer at the Naval Ocean Systems Center in San Diego for four years before his illness.
Surviving are his parents, Alan L. and Constance E. Bradberry of Novato; a sister, Suzanne Bradberry of Novato; and two brothers, John Bradberry of Simi Valley in Southern California and Robert Bradberry of Mammoth Lakes in Mono County.
The family asked that memorial gifts go to Hospice of Marin or the American Cancer Society.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that family services were held at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato, and inurnment was at Valley Memorial Park, also in Novato.
