LEON THOMPSON
Military funeral for Leon E. Thompson, 74, a retired construction contractor and former resident of Deer Island, Novato, was held Saturday in Fallon, Nev.
Thompson, of Sparks, Nev., died Wednesday at a Reno hospital after a long illness.
He was a contractor in the Novato area for 15 years before moving to Hat Creek, Shasta County, in the late 1950 (sic). He moved to Sparks three years ago.
Thompson, a World War I veteran, was a native of Soldier, Kan.
Surviving are his wife, Ina Thompson of Sparks; three sons, Charles Thompson of Novato, Leon Thompson of Reno and Robert Thompson of Hat Creek; two daughters, Ina Hull of Fortine, Mont. And Aileen Morales of Reno; two brothers, Marion Thompson of Petaluma and Glen Thompson of Sebastopol; a sister, Edna Robello of San Rafael; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Fallon.
