C. James Brodie dies At Los Angeles
C. James Brodie who superintended the construction of the Mt. Tamalpais Scenic Railway died on Sunday after a short illness following a nervous breakdown. “Jim” Brodie, as he was familiarly known to all residents of the Valley, was one of the pioneers of this community.
He was a man of indomitable grit and determination, and had few equals as a railroad constructor. The sad news of his demise will be received with profound sorrow by his many friends. He leaves several brothers and sisters residing at Philadelphia to mourn his loss. The remains were interred at Los Angeles on Tuesday.
