BETTY L. RYAN

A memorial service for Betty L. Ryan of Fairfax, a Marin resident for 45 years and a longtime secretary in the Fairfax School District, will be held Saturday at the Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo.

Mrs. Ryan died Tuesday at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 63.

She was born and raised in San Francisco. She moved to Marin in 1935. She was married for many years to Paul E. Ryan, who died several years ago.

She worked for 21 years as a secretary in the Fairfax School District. She was retired.

She is survived by a son, Patrick Ryan of Fairfax, and a daughter, Michele Ryan of Woodinville, Wash.

The family prefers memorial donations to the Kaiser Home Health Agency, 99 Montecillo, San Rafael 94903; Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael 94903; or the American Cancer Society.
