CARL F. GROMME
Carl F. Gromme, 82, of Kentfield, a longtime Marin architect, died Friday at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Gromme had his architectural office in San Rafael from 1933 until 1968 when he retired and was the architect of the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. building in San Rafael.
He also had been the architect of many school buildings. Gromme formerly was a member of the San Rafael Elks Club.
Surviving are his wife, Lucia Gromme of Kentfield; two sons, Sherman Gromme and Anthony Edward Gromme, both of Menlo Park; a sister, Helen Gromme of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
At his request no services will be held. Inurnment will be private.

A Death Notice in the same paper refers to the one son as Charles Sherman Gromme, and adds that he was the grandfather of Sarah and Allen Gromme. He was a native of Ohio.
