GLEN YEAKLEY
Glen Yeakley, the director of underwriting for Fireman’s Fund Co., died in his Novato home this morning after being stricken with a sudden illness. He was 41.
A native of New Jersey, he came to California in 1974 and settled in Concord. He moved to Novato in 1979.
Yeakley had been working with Fireman’s Fund since 1962, and last worked in the commercial group division n the Northgate East office in San Rafael.
He was appointed to the director of underwriting and loss control in the commercial group division in August.
He held various supervisory and management positions prior to that appointment and was very instrumental in developing the MacDonald’s franchise holders group as clients for the company.
During his career with Firemen’s Fund, he worked in the company’s home office in San Francisco from 1974 until 1979 and was in the Neward, N.J. office from 1962 to 1974.
He was a graduate of Rutger’s University in New Jersey where he got a degree in business.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Yeakley of Novato; two sons, Matthew B. Yeakley and Benjamin P. Yeakley, both of Novato; two brothers, John Yeakley of New Jersey and Marc Yeakley of North Carolina; his parents, Glen and Virginia Yeakley of New Jersey; and his grandmother, Emma Faust of Indiana.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.

A second obituary appeared in the October 7th paper. Funeral was to be held Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. in Keaton’s Chapel of Marin, Novato. Burial was to be in Bahia Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Novato.
