CECIL LEONARD

Cecil Leonard, a 50 year resident of Marin County, died Friday in a local hospital after a short illness. He was 84.

A native of Minnesota, he came to California near the end of World War I and settled in Corte Madera where he lived until 1945 when he moved to Larkspur where he lived for the rest of his life.

He was a self employed licensed public accountant who maintained offices in Larkspur until retiring in 1970.

He was a veteran pilot of World War I, having flown in France.

He was a past master of the Fairfax Mason Lodge 536, the High Twelve of Marin, the Sons In Retirement of Marin No. 7, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Larkspur Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Rolene Leonard of Larkspur; a brother, Martin Leonard of Minnesota; and a sister, Emily Wolters of Minnesota.

A private funeral service will be held, and he will be inurned at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.

The family prefers that any memorial donations be made to the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children in San Francisco or to the donor’s favorite charity.
