GERMAIN S. USAUROU
Germain S. Usaurou, 74, a retired San Francisco laundry owner, died Friday at a local convalescent home after an illness.
After his retirement from business, Usaurou had worked part time as a custodian at the San Rafael Improvement Club.
He was a member of Lique Henri IV, Les Chasseurs and the French Athletic Club in San Francisco.
Usaurou was a native of Lourdios, France, who had been a resident of the United States for about 50 years. He had been a resident of San Francisco for 30 years, before moving to Marin nine years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Henriette Usaurou of Novato and a sister, Jean Usaurou of France.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Carew & English, Masonic and Golden Gate avenues, San Francisco. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Mark’s Garden Crypt, Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was survived by nieces and nephews both in the U.S. and in France.
