Nicasio Man, Struck by Car Sunday, Dies
Fatally injured early Sunday morning when he was struck by an automobile, Albert Engman, 43, World War veteran of Nicasio, died Monday morning at the Ross General Hospital.
Engman was struck by a car driven by Leroy Allen of Inverness as he was stepping into his own machine, which was parked at the side of the Redwood highway near Ignacio. He was rushed to the Ross General Hospital, where he lived until Monday morning at 6 o’clock.
Allen was held for investigation, but was released later. Engman was an employee of the Fred La Franchi ranch at Nicasio.
