Prison Guard Succumbs To Heart Attack
John H. Howell, for the past twelve years a guard at San Quentin prison, died of heart trouble last night.
Howell first joined the guard line in July _?_ under the administration of __?__ Johnston. Prior to that time Howell lived in Marysville, where he was a member of the Mason__...
__?__suddenly and unexpectedly ___(2 lines illegible)___ heart troubled him. He succumbed to the sudden malady three quarters of an hour later.
Howell is survived by a wife, Mrs. G. H. Howell, of Marysville. The body is being held by J. Ray Keaton pending instructions from Mrs. Howell.
