GRETCHEN GRAY
Gretchen Gray, longtime Marin social worker, died Thursday at her home in San Rafael after a lengthy illness. She was 75.
Mrs. Gray was a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., and earned her master’s degree in social work at the University of California, Berkeley.
She worked for the juvenile court in San Francisco, then at Sunny Hills in San Anselmo and later as a social worker for Marin County. She retired about 10 years ago.
Mrs. Gray also was active in environmental protection affairs and was a member of the board of the American Civil Liberties Union.
She also was a volunteer with Senior Legal Services.
Her husband, Dwight, died earlier. Survivors include a nephew in San Diego.
No service is planned.
Memorial gifts to the American Civil Liberties Union, 814 Mission St., San Francisco, are preferred.
