ERIC MAWSON

The funeral for Eric Mawson, former San Rafael resident, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Eggen and Lance Mortuary, Santa Rosa.

Mawson died Sunday at home in Santa Rosa after a brief illness. He was 78.

Born in England, he came to the United States as a child. He worked 47 years for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. in San Francisco. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

He lived for 25 years in San Rafael, moving in 1969 to Lake County and later to Santa Rosa.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; five children and stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother, John Mawson of Seattle.
