ETHEL B. LINCH

A memorial mass for Ethel B. Linch of San Anselmo, a Marin resident for almost 60 years and wife of a former San Anselmo mayor, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Anselm’s Church in San Anselmo.

Mrs. Linch died Wednesday at a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born in San Francisco and moved to San Anselmo in the early 1920s. She was married to George Linch for many years. He died in 1956.

Linch was a city councilman and mayor of San Anselmo in the late 1930s. He was an insurance broker.

Mrs. Linch was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Irene Busch of San Anselmo, and two grandchildren.

Private family services were held Friday at the Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.

The family prefers memorial donations gifts to St. Anselm’s Church.
