Rita Blumenthal Safran
Rita Blumenthal Safran of San Francisco, a Marin native and mother of a Belvedere man, died Thursday in a Marin convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 92.
She was born and raised in San Rafael and lived in Marin until her marriage.
She then moved to San Francisco where she lived until recently when she became ill and returned to Marin.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Alan L. Abrams of Belvedere; a daughter, Marjorie Agate of Beverly Hills; two sisters, Florence Breyer and Miriam Rogers; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A private service was held today.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the daughter of the late Morris and Barbara Blumenthal, and the wife of the late A. Louis Abrams and the late Ernest Safran.
