MINNIE MOITOZA
Minnie Moitoza of Tiburon, a resident of Marin for almost 70 years and one of the early residents of the Tiburon peninsula, died Tuesday at home. She was 97.
Mrs. Moitoza was a native of Newark, but lived in Marin since 1911 when she moved here with her husband, Frank Moitoza. He died in 1967.
She and her husband lived for many years in the only home on the hill above Old St. Hilary’s Church. The street, built by her husband, bears the family name.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Moitoza also was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft.
She is survived by a son, Frank Moitoza Jr. of Mill Valley; a daughter, Vera Moitoza of Tiburon; two sisters, Helen Lesh and Elsie Bewall of Alameda County; and three grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.
