ELIZABETH PHELPS
Private funeral services have been held for Elizabeth “Betty” T. Phelps, 81, of Mill Valley.
She died on Friday after a long illness in a local convalescent hospital.
A native of Chicago, she spent all of her adult in Seattle until moving to San Rafael in 1967.
She had been a sales clerk for about 30 years for the Bon Marche Department Store in Seattle.
Her late husband, Vear E. Phelps died on July 25.
She was a member of the Aloha Chapter No. 116 of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Edward L.Windsor of Novato; two brothers, Max Heuschele and Henry Heuschele, both of Seattle six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley. The family prefers memorial gifts to the Masonic or Eastern Star Homes. Burial will be in Seattle.
