ANNE COLE
Anne Cole, a longtime resident of Novato, died Tuesday in a local hospital after a short illness. She was 89.
A native of Ireland, she came to the United States, settling first in Nevada and then in San Francisco where she married the late Walter R. Cole who owned the Walter Cole Iron Works in Oakland.
They moved to Orinda where she lived until about 15 years ago when she moved to Novato.
She is survived by her son, Walter T. Cole of Lower Lake, and a nephew, Walter Murdock of San Rafael.
At her request no funeral service will be held. She will be buried in the family plot in the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.
