GEORGE L. CLARK

A private funeral was held today for George L. Clark, a long-time San Rafael resident who died Saturday in a local hospital after a short illness.

Clark, 60, was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 35 in San Rafael and worked many years for various contractors.

He was born in Healdsburg and lived virtually all his life in San Rafael, attending local schools, including San Rafael High School.

Surviving are his wife, Rose Clark of the family home; one son, George Clark Jr. of San Francisco, and two brothers, John Clark of Oregon and Richard Clark of Novato.

The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that interment was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
