Mrs. V. C. La FRANCHI

Mrs. Virginia C. La Franchi, resident of San Rafael for many years, died suddenly Friday of a heart attack while boarding a Greyhound bus at the corner of “A” and Third streets. The 82-year-old woman was accorded final rites in Oakland.

According to the bus driver, William Miller, Mrs. La Franchi had boarded the bus and deposited her money in the pay meter when she suddenly started to fall backwards. The driver caught her and then summoned the ambulance. The woman was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The deceased is survived by three sons, Henry, Otto and Ed. La Franchi, and a daughter, Mrs. Ida Roberts.
