JOSEPH PEREIRA
Joseph Pereira, a former resident of Novato who had been living at a Petaluma rest home died there Wednesday.
A native of the Azores in Portugal, he came to the United States and settled in San Francisco in 1908. He lived in Stockton and Point Reyes before moving to Novato in 1922. He then moved to Sonoma in 1971.
He was a retired dairy rancher who had his own spread on Lakeville Highway between Novato and Petaluma.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews in California and Canada.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Redwood Chapel Funeral Home.

JOSEPH PEREIRA
Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. for Joseph Pereira, a former Novato resident, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
Pereira died Wednesday in a Petaluma rest home.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Redwood Chapel in Novato. Friends may call all day Sunday at the chapel.
