ELEANOR M. PAYTON
A funeral for Eleanor M. Payton of San Anselmo will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
Mrs. Payton, 78, died Friday at a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of San Francisco, she moved to Marin 50 years ago. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Harold, died in 1967.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Thompson of Placentia; two sons, Stanley Payton of San Anselmo and Harold Payton of San Rafael; two sisters, Lucille Schantzen of Los Angeles and Dorothy Windsor of San Jose; 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial gifts to Marin County chapter of the American Cancer Society.
