After a lingering illness of several weeks, William Moor Sims quietly passed away at his home early Wednesday morning. The announcement of his death was a great shock to the community for Mr. Sims was highly esteemed by every one.
Funeral services were held in San Francisco yesterday and the remains were cremated yesterday.
The deceased was a native of Sacramento, aged 55 years, 9 months and a few days. He leaves a wife, Marguerite A. Sims, a brother, Paul Sims, and a sister Mrs. George W. Connell of Sacramento. Mr. Sims was a very prominent attorney of San Francisco and prominent member of the Bohemian Club, Sacramento County Pioneer and a life member of the California Pioneers. He was an association of State Senator Hiram W. Johnson and served with honor and distinction in the assembly in the 22nd legislature of this State.
He was a very broadminded man of sterling qualities and ranked very high as an attorney and citizen.
