E. J.MORTENSEN
Edward J. Mortensen, 76, of the Aldersley Danish Home, San Rafael, died early yesterday at a local hospital after a short illness.
Mortensen retired in 1959 as operating manager for Associated-Banning Co. San Francisco stevedoring contractors for whom he worked 45 years.
A native of Denmark, he came to this country in 1902, living in San Francisco until he came to the San Rafael home on his retirement.
He was a member of Park Lodge 449, Free and Accepted Masons, California Scottish Rite Bodies and Islam Temple of the Shrine, all of San Francisco.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Mortensen of San Rafael and a brother, Dusinus Madsen of Denmark.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at Carew and English, Masonic at Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma, under auspices of Park Lodge 449, F and AM.
