WILLIAM HALE
San Francisco banker William Morrell Hale, father of John E. Hale of Kentfield, died Monday at his home in Diablo, Contra Costa County, He was 71.
Hale was a native of Martinez. He retired from his post as executive vice president of American Trust Co. in 1955.
Other survivors are his wife, Marion; another son, William M. Hale of Honolulu; a sister, Ida Livingston of Paso Robles, and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be private.
