Returning from Monte Rio(?) to their homes in Oakland and San Francisco last Sunday an automobile party of four young people met with an accident at Millerton, on Tomales Bay, in which Miss Eva Wells, 22 years old, was killed, and her three companions, Benjamin Courant, R. E. Porter and Helen Tarbox, were injured.

The machine overturned on a sharp sandy curve in the road, pinning Miss Wells and Courant underneath. The girl was suffocated by escaping gasoline and injured internally.

The occupants of the car were taken to the home of Dr. S. P. Cavanagh at Pt. Reyes, where Miss Wells passed away shortly after her arrival there.

The body was brought to Coroner Sawyer’s office and later shipped to Oakland.

Miss Tarbox is of San Francisco, while the two men and the dead girl are of Oakland.
