MARION A. DOWDALL
Marion A. Dowdall of San Rafael, a former executive with Bethlehem Steel and a 20-year resident of Marin, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 72.
Dowdall was a native of San Francisco and attended St. Ignatius High School. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and the Pratt Institute.
He served as an executive with the Bethlehem Steel company in the Bay Area for about 30 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Meadow Club.
Dowdall is survived by his wife, Ruth O. Dowdall; a daughter, Timotheanne Addelsee of Fresno; two sisters, Katherine E. Dowdall and Mary P. Hearty, both of Sausalito; and two grandchildren.
No service will be held.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
