ROBERT V. NUGENT
Robert V. Nugent, a San Francisco insurance company executive and long-time Marin resident, died Sunday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 64.
Nugent was a native of New York City and lived in New York until moving to Marin County 23 years ago. He lived in Fairfax until about a year ago when he and his wife, Helen, moved to Greenbrae.
Nugent had been in the insurance business 40 years and was vice president for claims of the firm Corroon & Black-Miller & Ames.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, James Nugent of Union City, and one daughter, Dorothy Nugent of San Rafael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian’s Church in Greenbrae. The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be private.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the Heart Fund.
