Mrs. Una Boyle Nunes, S. R. Native, Is Dead
Mrs. Una Boyle Nunes, 61, a native of San Rafael and for many years a resident here, died in a Ukiah hospital Monday after a long illness.
Mrs. Nunes was born at the old Boyle family residence at the corner of Laurel place and Nye street and spent her early years in San Rafael. She was educated at Miss Stewart’s school.
She and her family spent summers at Lake Leonard (about 20 miles north of Ukiah), and after the family home in San Rafael was sold, resided permanently at t he lake home, where she interested herself in her small stable of Arabian horses.
She is survived by two sisters, Mother Boyle of Sacred Heart Convent at Lake Forest, Illinois, and Sister Gabriel of Carmelite Monastery at Santa Clara; and a brother, Dr. William A. Boyle of the Mendocino State Hospital at Talmage.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Angels church in Ukiah tomorrow at 10 a.m. It is requested that no flowers be sent.
