WILLIAM VIZZARD
A memorial Mass for Dr. William R. Vizzard of Ross will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m.
Thursday at St. Anselm’s Church, San Anselmo.
Dr. Vizzard died Monday at a local hospital.
He had practiced for many years in the Parkside district of San Francisco and had been a resident of Ross for 16 years.
Dr. Vizzard was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Surviving are his wife, Esther Vizzard of Ross; a daughter, Dr. Clare Harper of Greenbrae; a son, William R. Vizzard Jr.. of Tokyo; two stepdaughters, Mary Jean Anderson of Stockton and Georgia Tulipani of Ross; and nine grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at McAvoy O’Hara Co., 4545 Geary Blvd., San Francisco. Burial will be private. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony’s Dining Room, 121 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco, 94118.
