EDWIN McCALLISTER (sic)
A funeral for Edwin D. McAllister of Mill Valley will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley.
McAllister, 63, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
He was born in Johnstown, Pa. He served in the submarine service during World War II. He moved to San Francisco after the war and to Mill Valley 27 years ago.
He worked as a furniture salesman for 20 years and retired 10 years ago from Clark’s Furniture in San Anselmo. He was a past commander and member of the Mill Valley Post No. 284 American Legion and a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans. He and his wife, Ruby, had been married 32 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott D. McAllister of Mill Valley.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday for visitation at the funeral chapel. The family prefers memorial gifts to the Marin County Heart Association.
