DUNCAN BONE
A memorial service for Duncan McDonald Bone, a Marin County probation officer, will be held by the First Unitarian Church of San Francisco at a date to be set later.
Bone, 40, a San Francisco resident, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
He had been a probation officer in Marin for the past nine years. Bone received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, both in history.
Prior to his work as a probation officer, Bone taught school in Michigan and Ohio.
He is survived by his parents, Duncan and Marian Bone; four brothers, Forrest, James, Thomas and Martin Bone; and three sisters, Bonnie Groce, Louise Bone and Louann Huddleston.
The family has asked that the American Cancer Society or Linus Pauling Institute receive memorial gifts.

A Death Notice in the June 11th paper adds that arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society in San Francisco.
