Pioneer Attorney Goes To Rest
Edward Gray Stetson, resident of San Rafael for nearly thirty years, and prominent until his retirement recently as a practicing attorney in San Francisco, passed away at his home near Santa Venetia Tuesday morning.
He had been ill for several weeks, and had grown steadily worse until death relieved his suffering. He was 77 years of age.
Shortly after his arrival in San Francisco from the East 49 years ago, he became associated with the legal department of a railroad.
The funeral was held at 11 o’clock this morning from Sawyer’s Parlors, with Dr. Lynn T. White officiating.
The deceased is survived by two sons, Meriam Stetson, now at Camp Lewis, Philip Stetson, with the Grizzlies, and a widow, Mrs. Marion Stetson.
