ROSE F. LEONE
Rose F. Leone of San Anselmo died Sunday at the Fifth Avenue Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael at the age of 70.
She was a native of Russia.
Mrs. Leone was a member of the Sons of Italy, Italian Catholic Federation, Goldenaires and The Whistlestoppers. Her husband, Charles P. Leone, worked in the Marin Independent Journal circulation department for 27 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael Leone of San Juan Capistrano; a daughter, Charlene Yahn of Santa Rosa; a sister, Elsie Shapiro of Novato; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anselm’s Church in Ross.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
The family prefers contributions to a favorite charity.
