SUSAN LEE DAVIES
Friends of Susan Lee Davies of Bothell, Wash., a former Marin resident, will scatter her ashes at sea Monday. Mrs. Davies, 38, died Friday in a boating accident in Seattle.
She was born and raised in Daly City. She graduated from Westmore High School in Daly City and attended San Mateo Junior College.
She moved to Marin County in 1967 when she married Danny N. Davies. The couple lived in San Rafael and Sausalito for 15 years before moving to Washington three years ago.
Mrs. Davies worked for Bancroft-Whitney Publishers in San Francisco before she married. In Marin, she worked for Quality Motorcycle Repair in San Rafael and Mill Valley, a business partly owned by her husband. She worked as a bookkeeper in Kirkland, Wash.
For the past two years, she had been a crew member on a family-owned boat, “The Justine.” The boat delivered food supplies to Alaskan lumber and Indian villages.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Davies and Andrew Davies, both of Bothell; her parents, Charles and Florence Ecker of Napa; and a brother, Leon Ecker of Sausalito.
Friends taking her ashes to sea will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in front of the Bank of America in Sausalito.
