ROMEO J. MARTIGNOLI
A Mass of Christian Burial for Romeo J. Martignoli, a longtime resident of San Rafael, was celebrated today at Mission San Rafael Arcangel.
He died Friday at Hillhaven Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after a long illness. He was 85.
He was born in San Francisco and lived there for 10 years until moving to Marin many years ago.
Mr. Martignoli worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. until retiring in 1964.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Elks Club.
Survivors are his wife, Anna Martignoli of San Rafael; a daughter, Dolores Ingemansson of Santa Venetia; a son, Ramund Martignoli of Folsom; a brother, John Martignoli of San Francisco; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael is handling the arrangements.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.

Another announcement of death appeared in the Thursday, Aug. 29 paper. It stated that he was a 45 year resident of San Rafael, was born in San Francisco and lived there until 1940. He retired as office manager for the Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in Mill Valley, and had previously held other positions with the company in San Francisco and San Rafael. He belonged to the Seniors In Retirement, Sons of Italy and the Elks Club.
