Prominent Civil Engineer Dies In San Anselmo

William M. Coffee, prominent in civil engineering circles in San Francisco, who died at his home in San Anselmo last Sunday, was buried Tuesday afternoon in Mt. Olivet cemetery. He had lived in San Anselmo for some time. Death followed an illness of less than a week.

Mr. Coffee gained distinction in his profession in many ways. He spent many years in the mining camps of Nevada and was well known about Carson City. In Hawaii he was the first to start a sugar plantation. His father was George Wayne Coffee, for years the United States inspector of hulls and boilers in Hawaii.
