JEAN FRASER
Jean Fraser of Belvedere, a former director of the Marin Arts Guild, died on Aug. 7 of a stroke in Dijon, France. She was 54.
No service was held.
She died while she was returning to Belvedere after visiting her husband, Ernest Fraser, who has been working for International Business Machines in Hong Kong.
Mrs. Fraser was born in Palo Alto. She moved to Belvedere 10 years ago.
She was a graduate of Stevens College in Columbia, Mo., and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
She worked as an interior decorator in Southern California before moving to Marin.
Mrs. Fraser was active in the Belvedere-based arts guild and served as its treasurer.
She also was a docent at the Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park.
Her survivors include her husband; two daughters, Deirdre Fraser of Vallejo and Heather Fraser of San Francisco; her father, Warren Clark of Newport Beach; and a sister, Barbara Buck of Danville.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Strybing Arboretum.
